Season of Gratitude

thank-you

Hello Lovely Friends! I wanted to speak to you today about gratitude. I feel such an overwhelming sense of thankfulness of how the alignment of Gods will has divinely been set up. Ephesians 5:20 (NIV) says we should always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Many times we can often feel like we have expressed our gratitude for the things of destiny being in the perfect order. I want to challenge you to practice giving genuine gratitude to the next 21 days. I have been blessed to appreciate the small things in life. I can remember a time where I would allow the small things to drag me down. For an example, the woe me pity party… no one wants to be around “Sour Suzie”.

There was a time in my life that I really did not live out Colossians 3:15 (NIV) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. It was just a horrible situation for my family and friends. The anxiety and stress of life carried me into a season of chaos. I can hear you saying, enough already with the sad talk.

So, if you’re wondering how I was able over to overcome the season of being sad, depressed, oppressed, and guilt. One day I simple made up in my mind that I would start off my day by saying positive confessions. What does that mean exactly? When I wake up in the morning, I would speak to God first. Before checking the alarm clock, news, coffee pot, and even holding a long conversation with my hubby.

I learned the art of being grateful. Yes, there is an art of being grateful. I asked God to speak to my heart and hide his word so I could live his desire for me aloud. I desired to live Colossians 2:7 (NIV) rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. As a result God has fulfilled his desires in my heart.

I am forever grateful for what God has allowed the good, bad, and ugly. Instead of remembering all the things that make me sad, I focus on the positive. As a child my mother would say, turn your frown upside down.

So lets show our gratitude for the next 21 days together! Be blessed and always live your dream life! With passion and purpose!

Gratefully,

Lashanda G.
